Tasks

  • Product & Pipeline Communications: Lead the strategic and operational execution of integrated product communications for oncology therapeutics across the full product lifecycle (pre-launch, launch, post-launch), medical congresses, and data milestones
  • Policy & Public Affairs Communications: Partner closely with Policy and Government Affairs teams to drive EU-level healthcare policy narratives, enabling broader and faster patient access to innovative treatments
  • Corporate Reputation & Executive Visibility: Elevate corporate reputation across Europe through strategic storytelling, thought leadership, media relations, and executive positioning/coaching for European leadership
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface effectively with Patient Advocacy, Commercial, Medical, Market Access, and local affiliate communications teams across European countries
  • Operational Execution: Independently draft and deliver high-quality communication materials (media content, social media posts, Q&As, toolkits, presentations) and manage external agencies without relying on a support staff

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience in corporate communications or PR within the pharma or biotech sector, with a regional (European) or international scope
  • Integrated Skillset: Broad Corporate Affairs background encompassing communications, public policy, and patient advocacy—pure PR specialists do not match the required profile
  • Industry Background: Ideally a combination of Big Pharma rigor and experience in smaller or mid-sized biotech environments. A purely corporate career spent exclusively in large pharma without exposure to agile setups typically does not fit the culture
  • Hands-On Mindset: Strong willingness and capability to execute operational tasks (from content drafting to event logistics) independently
  • Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the European pharmaceutical regulatory environment and key EU healthcare policy dynamics
  • Languages & Storytelling: Fluency in English with exceptional writing, editing, and executive-level presentation skills
  • Education: Master’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or Business Administration (MBA) preferred
